Every Tuesday (or so) I share articles that I found helpful, inspiring or that just brightened my day. Tuesday Tidbits fall into the categories of travel, minimalism and/or health. Enjoy!
Travel
- Best Los Angeles Instagram Spots: I got to spend a few days in Los Angeles recently. If you’re a blogger and/or someone who likes to share bits and pieces of their life through social media, you gotta love a good photo opportunity. Claire made it easy for me (and anyone else who is planning a trip to the City of Angels) to find some great Instagram spots. Check out her list of the 15 best Instagram spots in Los Angeles.
- Cuba 101: Traveling to Cuba is pretty en vogue right now. I’ve visited Cuba many, many years ago and I’m sure many things have changed in the meantime. I’m dying to go back sometime in the near future. Anna did an interview with Cuba expert Ramze Suliman about travel costs, if Cuba is actually safe, how Americans can visit the country legally and much more.
- Paris In Bloom: Hannah moved to Paris and now makes us jealous with all the dreamy pictures she shares. Check out her photo post about how Paris looks like in spring when it’s drowning in blooms. Maybe this inspires you to plan your next trip to the city of love?
Minimalism
- Reduce The “Have To’s” In Your Life: You have to do this and you still need to do that and also take care of a million other things at the same time. Sounds familiar? Feeling overwhelmed yet or trouble focusing? Acquiring a minimalist mindset in this regard can help you. Hilary Barnett shares 5 ways to reduce the “have to’s” in your life over on nosidebar.com.
- Home Office Inspiration: If you’re loving a clean, minimalist look and/or are looking to re-vamping your office at home? Look no further. The Mustards did it right (in my humble opinion). Look at the photos on Jenny’s blog here and get inspired!
Health
- Yoga For Better Sleep: I’ve been struggling on and off with insomnia. Sometimes I don’t have any problems falling asleep and sometimes I just can’t get a good night’s rest. Several nights ago was one of those nights. Yesterday, I happened to stumble upon Brittany’s post where she recommends a series of bedtime yoga stretches. They help the body relax, wind down and make you ready for bed. I tried it out yesterday and I think it helped! Try it out for yourself if you have trouble sleeping.
- Make Green Smoothies Taste Awesome: If you’re new to the whole healthy living/eating thing (but have dipped your toes in it already just a bit), chances are you’ve come across green smoothies or juices. You might have even tasted one or two and decided it isn’t for you. It may just taste too “green.” But don’t give up yet! Before you convince your tastebuds that pure greens can actually taste good (yes, raw spinach or kale actually tastes amazing, trust me!), you might need a little help with your smoothies. Lindsey shows you how to make a green blended drink that actually tastes like something you want to drink.
