Every Tuesday (or so) I share articles that I found helpful, inspiring or that just brightened my day. Tuesday Tidbits fall into the categories of travel, minimalism and/or health. Enjoy!
Travel
Asheville, NC: When you think about going away on vacation, you typically dream of far away, typically international destinations. Am I right? Well, at least I’m guilty of that. You often forget about the destinations within your own home country. For example, Kate went to Asheville in North Carolina (intrigued by Obama’s remark that he thinks about retiring there) and fell in love with this little town. Hop on over and read about her 14 reasons why she’s smitten with Asheville.
Europe On A Budget: Have you ever dreamt of traveling through Europe? I bet you have (or you might already have). Visiting several destinations in a limited amount of time can get pricey. But it doesn’t have to be! Allie has some helpful tips and provides you with 10 tips how to travel Europe on a budget.
Road Tripping Through California: Going on a road trip is always a good idea in my eyes. Going on a road trip through California is even better! And that’s exactly what Amy did. Read what she did on 6 days on the road through the Golden State.
Minimalism
Buying More: When it comes to minimalism, what usually comes to mind is throwing out stuff and overall reducing your possessions to the bare minimum. However, when you’re living a minimalist lifestyle, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to follow this “rule.” What’s so great about this lifestyle is that it allows you to discern what truly brings you joy and deliberately seek out and buy those things. If you’re looking for inspiration of what you could buy MORE of, head over to Tara’s site where she shares 5 things she’s consciously buying more of.
Minimalist Wardrobe: Having a minimalist wardrobe has many advantages. Some of them are that you (typically) only own what you really love and the time to make decisions in the morning are decreased. However, it takes some work to nail that minimalist wardrobe of yours. Read Rebeccas’s journey here.
Tips On Downsizing: If you’re moving soon and/or looking to downsize, read Evelyn’s How To Downsize 101. It’s going to help you get it done. Promise.
Health
Healthy Snacks: I’m always looking for new, healthy snack ideas. It’s as if Drea knew this. Because she wrote a whole post on the snacks she and her family are loving lately. Check it out here!
Slowing Down: We live in a go-go-go world and more often than not, people are highly stressed, get burnt out and don’t know how to enjoy life anymore. Don’t get me wrong. I love to work, be highly productive, on the go and experience new things on an everyday basis. However, living a life like that is not sustainable if we don’t take time for ourselves out of our busy lives and slow down. Thus, I’d like to share Joanne’s 10 useful tips on how to slow down.
Work-Life Balance: On a related note, Davida from The Healthy Maven shares how she found a work-life balance. It’s a great read and I’m sure it will be helpful for those of you who’re struggling with finding the sweet spot between hustling and just simply enjoying life.
